Having previously represented Old Town on Stevenage Borough Council, I am hoping to be elected to do so again.
I passionately believe our historic Old Town holds a unique position within Stevenage and want to ensure its heritage is respected and preserved. Our High Street is the jewel in the crown of Stevenage; a vibrant and desirable location to live, shop and visit.
Labour-run SBC have no respect for the history or unique attractions of the High Street and their anti-car obsession is threatening the livelihoods of our local businesses. Whilst many of us in the Old Town are lucky enough to be able to walk to the High Street, many other Stevenage residents rely upon their cars to travel here.
Free parking, which is both safe and easily accessible, is essential and I will support High Street improvements that respect this.
I have lived in the Old Town for over 25 years and attended the Thomas Alleyne School. I work as a Software Engineer, combining working from home with commuting to my London Bridge office
