We are pleased to announce that Victoria Facey will be the Conservative Candidate in Shephall Division, which includes Bandley Hill & Poplars.
Victoria lives in Poplars with her young family. She is a lifelong Stevenage resident whose family connection to Shephall has been continuous for over 60 years.
As a mother, she is passionate about improving and enhancing opportunities for children and young people and as a former carer for two close family members she has first-hand knowledge of what needs to change to improve adult social care services.
About Victoria, in her own words:
I have lived in Stevenage my entire life and have worked here my whole adult life. I have lived in different areas of the town, currently living in Poplars (which is encompassed in Shephall Division). Being born and bred here, I have a very in-depth and detailed knowledge of Stevenage. Shephall Division is close to my heart, as my Nan lived in this area for over 60 years, so I have many memories around the Division both as an adult and as a child.
Along with my husband, I am now raising my own family here, having had both my children in the Lister Hospital, the same hospital in which I was born! Being a mum, I am invested in opportunities for young people in Stevenage, be it improving our education facilities, ensuring there are plenty of extracurricular activities available and making sure there are enough outside spaces for local youths to express themselves safely, such as parks and playgrounds.
As a motorist, I can relate to the frustration certain road restrictions would have, such as blanket 20mph speed limits along key streets, as well as understanding the annoyance caused by potholes! If elected, I pledge to oppose unnecessary traffic restrictions and work relentlessly to get potholes repaired.
Please use your vote for me on 1st May, so I can be the beating heart the area deserves to bring much-needed upgrades and improve the quality of living for all residents of Shephall, Poplars and Bandley Hill.
