We are pleased to announce that Cllr Ralph Muncer will be our candidate to contest Knebworth & Codicote Division at the May 2025 County Council elections.
Ralph is a passionate community councillor who already represents Codicote & Kimpton Ward on North Herts District Council. Ralph has been an effective advocate for our villages and has robustly challenged the Labour and Lib Dem leadership at North Herts Council.
About Ralph, in his own words:
I’m proud to call Hertfordshire my home, and that’s why it’s a real honour to have been selected to stand for the County Council.
Living locally, and having represented Kimpton and Codicote on the District Council for the last few years, I wholly understand and share the concerns of many in our community.
That’s why, if elected as your County Councillor on Thursday 1st May, I will work from day one to ensure action is taken to deliver on your priorities for our community.
In the next decade, our communities will see the development of over 1600 new homes. But all too often, homes are built without adequate infrastructure to support new development. That’s why, I will continue to oppose Inappropriate Development, as well as take forward the work I have been doing at NHDC to guarantee developers pay their fair share, ensuring our communities see new and upgraded infrastructure to mitigate the negative impacts of development.
As the son of a teacher, I understand the importance of every child getting the best start in life. That’s why I’m delighted all of our local schools are rated Good or Outstanding. If elected, I will support our schools to ensure they continue to provide an excellent education to our young people, equipping them with the skills they need to succeed.
We have record numbers of Police Officers on our streets in Hertfordshire. If elected, I will continue to work closely with the Police and Crime Commissioner to tackle local crime, ensuring these Officers are out on the streets in our communities, taking action against fly-tipping, speeding and anti-social behaviour.
I can assure you that if elected as your County Councillor on Thursday 1st May, I will make sure your voice is heard at County Hall and that action is taken to deliver on your priorities for our community.
