I was the Stevenage Borough Councillor in Longmeadow from 2016 to 2024 and the Hertfordshire County Councillor for Broadwater since 2017. I live in both electoral areas and find that this gives me a good insight into the priorities and issues facing local residents on a daily basis.
I am the Deputy Executive Member for Resources and Performance at Hertfordshire County Council. In this role I work to ensure that County Council services such as highways, schools and adult social care are properly funded to ensure a quality service is provided for local people.
On Stevenage Borough Council I held the position of Shadow Executive Member for Resources. In this role I scrutinised Labour's spending decisions and analyse whether taxpayers are getting value for money. I am a keen supporter of the Taxpayers' Alliance. I want to make sure that Stevenage remains an excellent place to live, work and travel and continues to lead the way in the anticipated economic and employment growth of Hertfordshire.
I have increased majorities in both my Council seats this year (2021) and as the newly elected Deputy Chair Political & Campaigning I hope to pass on my experience in campaigning and winning seats for future candidates.
From 2021 to 2024 I was the Deputy Chairman Political & Campaigning for Stevenage Conservative Association. From 2021 to present I have been the Election Agent for Stevenage's Conservative candidates.
